An accident, obsession and finding a new passion
About
In 2011 I was a full time teacher and had just completed my City and Guilds in Embroidery as we started teaching A Level textiles. Little did I know this would lead to an accidental second career and full filling a dream to be able to do my passion full time.
My obsession for stitch grew over lock down as I set myself the challenge to stitch each week and then each day, little did I know how important this time would become., not only to me but also to others around the world that began to stitch along.
#sew4thesoul was something I developed as a breather in life, but it became something I needed for my own well being, alongside inspiring others to join in.
Stitching has been a part of our lives for hundreds of years and I love to share my passion of stitching with others. Be that in a workshop, via social media or in the projects and challenges I have set, that people all over the world have taken part in.
n 2024 that dream became a reality and I am now a full time textile artist, tutor & wobble gob, living and working in Brighouse, West Yorkshire.
