Today I have had the pleasure of delivering my new workshop Mini Stitched Hoop Garden at Shed 76 1/2.
We began the day, after a coffee,hand dyeing a selection of cotton threads. Typically it has been hot and sunny all week, but today the skies were a little grey so it took a while, and a hair dryer, to dry the threads.
While they were drying we began to create a mini sampler of stitches we could use on our brooches.
After lunch we could begin the serious job of hand embroidery. A lovely afternoon of stitching and chatting. I have to say it was a lovely relaxed day and the time flew so fast before I knew where we were it was time to have a look at the treasures we created.
