A 40 minute video, ideal for beginners wanting to start to explore free machine embroidery. This is a technique where you can 'draw' with your machine and one I use a lot in my work.
 
Included in the workshop
The video will guide you through a series of stages to get you up and running using your machine in this way. You will need a sewing machine that has the ability to do free machining. This means you can lower your feed dogs and have a darning foot. If you cannot lower the feed dogs some machines have covers for them.
 
You are able to watch the whole video, pause it, fast forward etc. and therefore can work at your own speed.
 
It is very much my own take on the technique and meant as a starting point for your own exploration.
 
Unlike the workshop I run in person there is no interaction or group discussion but you are welcome to email me any questions or ask for advice on your work. There is no start or finish date for the workshop but I do recommend you plan a block of time to practice the technique as it is this that will give you the confidence to develop your own practice.
